A better life for dogs in pain.
Watching your dog hurt is hard. The slow mornings, the hesitation before the stairs, the walks that used to be the highlight of their day. You've tried things. Some helped a little. Nothing's really fixed it.
We're enrolling dogs in a clinical trial for a new pain treatment — one that works differently than what's out there right now. Dogs who enroll will receive either the new treatment or an established pain medication. Early results are promising, and we think it's worth a look.
Take a few minutes to answer some questions below and we'll let you know if your dog might be a good candidate. Or just reach out directly, we're happy to talk it through.

FAQ’s
-
It's how new veterinary medications and treatments are discovered and proven to work. Every prescription available today started with volunteer pet participants just like yours.
-
To help find better options for dogs living with pain — for their own dog, and for the dogs that come after them.
-
Your dog may qualify if they're at least 5 years of age, weigh at least 15 lbs, have confirmed osteoarthritis of the hip or stifle joint, and are in good general health without other conditions that might affect pain assessment. Dogs who haven't responded fully to Librella may also be eligible.
-
Because what's available today doesn't work well enough for every dog. Many dogs on current pain medications still have hard mornings, still slow down on walks, still aren't fully comfortable. This trial is looking for something that works differently — and potentially better.
-
Not necessarily. Dogs in the trial will receive either the investigational drug EAH-B1 or an established prescription pain medication. You'll know which group your dog is in before enrolling.
-
Veterinary clinical trials go through preclinical safety review and FDA oversight before any dog is enrolled. Throughout the study, your dog will be monitored closely — with regular exams, lab work, and check-ins — and rescue pain medication is always available if it's needed.
-
Your personal information will be kept confidential and de-identified wherever possible. The study veterinarian, the sponsor, and in some circumstances the FDA may access study records that identify your dog and your contact information, as required by law.
-
None. All study-related veterinary care, exams, and monitoring are covered. Participants also receive up to $250 in veterinary clinic credits as compensation for their time and travel.
-
The study runs for 35 days total, with visits at Day 0, 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35. You'll receive a full schedule before enrolling so you know exactly what to expect.
-
Yes. You're free to withdraw your dog from the study at any time, for any reason.
-
Your dog returns to regular care with your own veterinarian. If pain management needs to be adjusted after the study, your vet will work with you on next steps.
